Varsha Venkatasubramanian
Varsha is an educator with a growing interest in transdisciplinary computing. With a Master’s in Education from Harvard University and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, she integrates her diverse skills into teaching and researching introductory Computer Science courses. Most recently, she was part of the teaching team for CS50, Harvard University’s suite of introductory Computer Science and programming courses. Her research publications focus on constructionist Scratch education and programming environments for novice programmers. Her work with the nonprofit Sitara Akka over the past four years has been deeply influential, both academically and personally. She is dedicated to improving access to and success in STEM education for students in rural India. Varsha brings her commitment to inclusive, effective computing education and enthusiasm for advancing project-based and transdisciplinary teaching and learning methods to Atria University.
