Mr. Sheikh Suhail Mohammad is a distinguished senior microgrid researcher and consultant, boasting a wealth of experience exceeding 7 years in microgrid research, design, and analysis. With a Ph.D. in microgrids from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar, Dr. Sheikh Suhail’s academic background includes a Master’s degree in Power Systems and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering. His academic achievements include the ‘Silver Medal’ and “Best in Technical Innovation” awards during the Master’s program and a distinction in the Bachelor’s degree. . In addition, Sheikh Suhail secured the PhD Ministry of Education (MOE) Fellowship, Government of India, and the Student Energy Fellowship-2023, Student Energy-Canada.

He has been actively involved in the development of microgrids, incorporating various green power sources and energy storage systems for diverse applications. Their focus encompasses design, power management, control, and optimization to enhance performance, reliability, and affordability. Serving as a co-investigator. Sheikh Suhail collaborated on a project titled “Transition towards clean, affordable and reliable electricitym the renewable energy-based distributed generation resources for residential building electrification, which successfully secured funding of INR 589000 from JKSTIC, Department of Science and Technology.

The professional journey includes extensive simulations and experimental microgrid testing, leading to numerous journal publications and conference presentations ot international venues, contributing significantly to the advancement of knowledge in the field. These experiences have honed Sheikh Suhail’s technical, project management, and leadership skills.
