Dr. Kristi Kabyashree

Dr. Kristi Kabyashree serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Sciences at Atria University. She earned her Ph.D. from Tezpur University, Assam, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi.
Her academic and research interests lie in molecular biology, plant-microbe interactions, microbiology, and bacterial genetics. Dr. Kabyashree is particularly passionate about understanding how plants—being stationary organisms—interact with diverse microbial communities, including both pathogenic and endophytic bacteria. Her research is centered on uncovering the molecular mechanisms that govern plant-pathogen interactions and exploring sustainable, eco-friendly strategies for plant disease management. Through her work, she aims to contribute to the development of resilient and sustainable agricultural systems.
