Dr. Saurabh Mahajan

Dr. Saurabh Mahajan is an Associate Professor of Biology and heads the Atria Centre of Excellence in Life Sciences at Atria University. He holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.
Dr. Mahajan’s work lies at the intersection of biology, data science, informatics, and computation, with a recent emphasis on omics technologies. His research spans a wide range of biological systems—including viruses, bacteria, animals, and humans—with the goal of advancing both fundamental and applied understanding. Currently, he is leading the development of an open-source, global platform to document and track progress in biotechnology, with a vision to empower humanity through accessible scientific knowledge.
