At Atria University, you get to solve real-world problems through live projects across all majors before you pick one. This allows you to experience each major and decide whether you want to pursue it or not. This is a unique approach to learning that only we offer.
Yes, absolutely. At Atria University, we don’t need you to have any prerequisites in terms of subjects. In the foundation year (mandatory), you will study a range of subjects that will help you identify your interests and understand your strengths. These first-year courses empower you with the foundational knowledge to build on for the years ahead regardless of your class 12th stream.
As of now, we are offering 3 and 4-year undergraduate degrees. We plan to introduce an integrated 5-year program in the coming years which would also involve masters level of study. For now, BBA and BSc would be 3-year degrees while BDes and BTech would be 4-year degrees. You get to select which degree you want to pursue at the end of the first year which would determine the duration of your undergraduate study.
Students will pursue one course/workshop at any given time, in 3-week sprints. None of the courses/workshops will be reading intensive. Our approach to learning is activity-based with 30% theory and 70% application.
In the first year, students learn through a combination of courses, workshops, and projects across disciplines. The projects in the first year are from each of our five majors – offering extensive opportunity to discover interests and the path the student wants to pursue. Moreover, students can take electives in their interest areas from Year 2 to gradually make a choice.
Yes. We will be offering other degree options in the next few years.
Currently, we do not offer a double major.
A student can switch tracks provided that a student has done 20 major-related courses in a particular program. One-on-one guidance as well as the opportunity to take electives will give the student sufficient time to decide on a major.
Students will learn through three-weeks, intense and immersive sprints of learning. Each three-week sprint is driven by a real-life project where students dive deep into concepts across disciplines. The learning is ongoing, through various projects, imbibing principles across disciplines. Hence, no semester-based system.
Yes. Once the University receives its Private State University Status (expected soon), the BBA will be a valid degree. Allowing you to pursue a post-grad education in any field you choose.
Some US universities do require a 4 year under graduation is compulsory. We offer a 3+1 year for BBA. And so students may need to take 1 year PGD to be eligible for select universities.
Assessment is given in CGPA 10. The performance of a candidate shall be evaluated in terms of the Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA), which is the grade point average for a semester, and
Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) which is the Grade Point Average for all the completed semesters.
Out of the 20 major courses, 15 would be compulsory and 5 would be chosen based on more specific interests. Students will gain a breadth of knowledge in the Major of choice. In year 3, for a Digital Transformation (DT) major, a study will comprise a range of subjects like Robotics, AI, and so on to get a strong understanding of the specialization. In Year 4, the student can opt for an AI specialization (under DT) and pursue advanced learning in the area by selecting multiple projects.
The foundation year courses in Year 1 are mandatory for all students. In Year 2, you will be able to choose your courses.

Students will be expected to attend an average 3-week course, for 4 credits each. Each course will have 30 contact hours and 60 practical/workshop hours. Overall, each student will be expected to take 20 courses to graduate with a degree and a program offering of their choice.
An Atria student would be pursuing only one course/project at a time. They will spend 6 hours each day on course and lab work on campus.
We have partnered with leading labs in India to help our students with research pursuits in the field of STEM. Students will have access to hi-tech infrastructure and cutting-edge research, along with mentorship from leaders in the fields, to pursue their research interests.
For example, the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) – a department of Defence Research & Development (DRDO) University – will offer opportunities for joint research with experts, internships, student exchange, among others.
Our learning experience offers an opportunity for you to chart your own academic pathway. You can experience a range of subjects and experience all majors until month 21 into your undergrad education. At the end of Year 2, you will pick your major-degree combination.

You may choose to share your JEE and CET scores while filling out your application form. However, the admission decision will not be based solely on these scores. We consider the application form and your performance in the Student Engagement & Interaction Day to extend an offer of admission.
No, we don’t have any entrance exams. Instead, we focus on 9 qualities that make each student unique. However, a student may choose to share their scores in exams like SAT, NEET, JEE, among others, while filling the online Application Form.
We require a basic level of verbal and written English. Your ideas and ambitions matter more.
Student Engagement and Interaction Day (SEID), phase 2 in our admissions process, will be hosted both online and offline. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we have been hosting our SEIDs online.
Our admission decision is not based on high-school exam cut-offs or standardized test scores. The University values qualities like passion, rigor, curiosity, the ability to learn, self-awareness, general awareness, and a cooperative spirit in a successful candidate. While we need passing grades per UGC norms to offer admission, the selection is not dependent on marks alone.

We are currently awaiting our State Private University approval. We are hopeful about receiving the accreditation during the winter session of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
